Library

IGIS has started to establish a reference library with all research facilities. Presently it has procured a large selection of relevant books for GIS and RS from the market. The vision is to develop this library a complete source of up-to-date knowledge about the all Geo-information technologies in the country. More than 1000 books, articles, and related published materials have been added to the library in 2005.

Auditoruim

A large auditorium, with a seating capacity of nearly one hundred people, is proposed to be built at IGIS’s new premises in H-12 sector of Islamabad
 
Laboratories

Two state-of-the-art computer laboratories have been established at IGIS for GIS and RS work. Latest software and equipment available. It is planned to add more equipments to the existing and new labs when IGIS moves to its new campus in H-12 sector of Islamabad.

Class rooms
The classrooms at IGIS are technology-smart and are equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia projection system, audio-visual capabilities, chalk-board and comfortable seating.
Sports Facilities

Currently IGIS hold only two equipment sets for sports a badminton set and a table tennis set. Expansion in in-door and outdoor sports facilities are planned for future when NUST campus at H_12 sector is functionel.
Canteen

A small cafeteria run by a local contractor provides a variety of food items to the students, faculty and staff.

 
Educational/Recreational Excursions/Trips

IGIS organizes and conduct at last one recreational-cum-educational field trip each semester, in which students and faculty participate is order to improve the social up-bringing of the participants and to create mutual understanding among faculty and students. 

 
Transport
IGIS has pick and drop facility for the students, faculty and staff of IGIS.
